Description

The Volcano rumbles silently underneath your feet as you stroll around its paths. Everything seems calm, but then...

-- Player goes "!" - Fire Pillars effect x3 on the screen. (see artist's notes) Screen shake?--

After the fiery rumble, the Volcano goes back to its normal, dormant state. You look behind you, and find the same Pokémon that lead you to the abandoned Shinx, Growlithe and Buizel.

It's Entei. And it seems like it has decided you are a worthy foe.

Options offered to the player

Explanation/Notes on Design

At the moment, it is a forced encounter as I assume that it would be clear to the player at this point that they are chasing one of the three Legendary Beasts.

Option 1 is easier and captures Entei on winning. Option 2 is considerably harder and unlocks an achievement, as well as gives a big boost to that run in the form of "pick whichever masterball item you want", more or less. This one is designed to only be beatable by well-prepared players.

Notes to Artists

In an ideal world, the Fiery pillars go off on the enemy's field, and Entei shows in the middle of them, where its sprite would be normally.

Notes to Developers

I'm using the same logic as Fiery Fallout for the "Start of combat effect", but I worry about KO's. In any case, this is something that could also happen in that Event, as a Volcarona could Fire Spin a low HP Pokémon and KO it, and then it'd the following moves (or crash the game, or who knows)
