Open ben-lear opened 1 month ago

ben-lear commented 1 month ago

Event Name

Pokemon Pachinko

Rarity Tier

Ultra

Waves

11-179

Description

ONLY ENCOUNTERABLE ONCE PER RUN

Just a reference to the arcade/pachinko parlors in the older games.

Biomes

CIVILIZATION

Options offered to the player

Explanation/Notes on Design

You can gain some cool rewards, but costs a bit of money and there’s a risk of losing. Can also pay a huge amount of money, but only gain a 1x voucher.

We should probably just hand wave the minigame itself unless someone reaaaally wants to build it.

Notes to Developers

No response

Nothing I hate more than blanket rejecting a proposal, but on paper this doesn't seem exciting enough, and the nature of this ME add something to MEs in general that might be a contingency point on how much people approve of MEs as a whole.

I wouldn't risk it. I do love the implication that the rewards seem bad and thus actually gambling is bad, but I wouldn't risk it.

Remember gachas are already critisised and evaluated as a thing that should potentially be removed (I personally agree with that view).

This is basically just a slightly better Mysterious Chest event that requires ponying up some money to play. I don’t think they’re that different
