problem installing homebridge-carwings plugin #5

Hi,

When i try to install the homebridge-carwings plugin i get the following error message:

npm ERR! code 128 npm ERR! Command failed: /usr/bin/git clone --depth=1 -q -b master https://github.com/blandman/carwings.git /root/.npm/_cacache/tmp/git-clone-770fee13 npm ERR! fatal: could not create leading directories of '/root/.npm/_cacache/tmp/git-clone-770fee13': Permission denied npm ERR!

npm ERR! A complete log of this run can be found in: npm ERR! /root/.npm/_logs/2017-06-18T19_23_51_031Z-debug.log

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Hello,

Could you provide the command you are running to install? It looks like you are installing at the root directory, this may need "sudo" to install at that location.
