os x installation

to install on an updated os x 10.9 './bootstrap.sh' must be executed before 
'./configure', './make' and so on. please add to README or INSTALL 

i attach my installation process output.

That's a good procedure in general, not specific to OSX - if "./configure ; 
make" fails, do a "./bootstrap.sh" and then retry.

Looks like the two files which talk about running configure are README and 
INSTALL, so that's where bootstrap.sh should be mentioned as a backup plan.
