Unable to notify #477

Opening the app will refresh the notification in the notification bar, I turned off the power optimization and kill the background, but there is no notification

Still an issue under Android 14. Notification permission listing shows 0 notifications sent.

Device: Oneplus Nord N200 OS: LineageOS 20 (Android 13) no gapps App version: 0.9.12

Edit: I tried turning on notifications, but was never prompted to allow notifications by the system.

Edit 2: that worked. Add a new feed, swipe up to go to app switcher, tap read you icon, tap app info, tap notifications, and turn them on. Switch back to read you, long press a feed, and tap allow notification (it doesnt respect the setting when you add the feed for some reason)

Same problem. GrapheneOS, Android 14.

Doesn't work for me either. I have enabled notification permissions, and enabled notifications for the wanted feeds. The feeds update in the background but I get no notifications.

Edit: I'm running FreshRSS, in case it's relevant.

Device: Samsung S20
OS: [Android 13]
APP: [0.10.1]

An update on my previous comment: If I add the feed to the local account (not through FreshRSS) I still don't get notifications when the app is not opened, but the notifications show up when I open the app and sync manually, just like Fins03 mentioned in https://github.com/Ashinch/ReadYou/issues/477#issue-1931375622.

So it seems like there is an additional issue with the FreshRSS integration because I get no notifications there at all.
