[RAI] Long Rim: Caliban Wrecking Ball Trait Clarification #844

Closed KaiTave closed 4 years ago

The Problem: The Caliban's Wrecking Ball trait currently states "The Caliban counts as size 3 when inflicting knock back from any ranged or melee attack." As it stands, this does not actually permit the Caliban to ram larger targets, since it cannot make the ram to inflict the knockback in the first place.

The Solution: It's not actually certain that Tom intends the Caliban to be able to ram larger targets or if the trait is actually only meant to affect knockback from conventional attacks. If the latter, then no change needs to be made. If the Caliban IS meant to be able to ram larger targets then the trait may need to be reworded to permit that, such as "The Caliban counts as size 3 for the purposes of ramming and inflicting knockback with ranged or melee attacks."

The Location: Long Rim Caliban document

Additionally, as written Wrecking Ball does not synergize with anything such as the Spike Charges which deal knockback but are not a ranged or melee attack. Developer input is suggested as to whether this is an intentional exclusion or not, and if not the trait should be clarified to account for sources of knockback such as this.
