Bash inside Vim not working properly #106

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. If I'm at the end of a line of text and press down Alt + ← I skip a word 
to the left, if I then press ← the cursor moves back to after the word I 
skipped. How do I solve this?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The cursors instead of picking up where I moved it to, it jumps back to where 
it was and then proceeds from there to move left.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Don't know.

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm one of the moderators for the stackexchange site, Unix & Linux. A user 
posted this Q there and I'm trying to get it resolved for them.

Note that there's a video on that Q that shows the issue in detail if that'll 
help in getting it resolved.
