3 years ago I realized my mistake. I suggest including a mention that the sheets need to be published to the web in order for the sheet checker to work -- and to make sure you're using the HTTPS version if it isn't working for you.

Attempting to add some of my own custom content following the guidelines on the Github, but the sheet checker is stuck on "loading" and just adding in my sheet results in it being last edited in 1969.
I may be doing something wrong, as I don't see anyone else opening an issue in this manner. Using the latest version of Google Chrome.
