Describe the bug game instantly crashes after joining mcci

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Open 'Minecraft'
  2. Click on 'Multiplayer'
  3. Go to 'mccisland.net'
  4. See error

Expected behaviour not crash

Axiom seems to cause this issue to accur

yea, i have a fix for the axiom conflict on 1.20.4 but i need to commit it to 1.20.1 as well
