document deployment under mod_wsgi #452

Open chadwhitacre opened 9 years ago

chadwhitacre commented 9 years ago

Reticketed from #441. Turns out we used to have an aspen.mod_wsgi script:

http://www.zetadev.com/software/aspen/trunk/doc/html/aspen.mod-wsgi.html

We should bring that back (or find it and document it if we still have it) to ease deployment under mod_wsgi.

pjz commented 9 years ago

Sure. We should also document fcgi_aspen.

pjz commented 9 years ago

For reference the old aspen.mod-wsgi source is here. Does it do anything that aspen.wsgi doesn't?

chadwhitacre commented 9 years ago

@pjz Hmm ... not that I can see, especially now that we have application as an alias.

chadwhitacre commented 9 years ago

Let's add doco to Deployment and close.

pjz commented 9 years ago

The docco LGTM, but git log shows that it's done so since before this ticket, so I guess I'm no judge. what needs elucidation?

chadwhitacre commented 9 years ago

@pjz You're looking at http://aspen.io/deployment/? I see mod_fastcgi there but not mod_wsgi.

pjz commented 9 years ago

oic. you want mod_wsgi-specific docs. Got it.
