Current and future support for Vardict #396

Can the authors confirm whether Vardict is still actively being developed and supported. Git activity is apparently low in 2023.

It's probably not a small fix, but outside of functionality security vulnerabilities are also a concern.

The current version uses htsjdk:2.21.1. Version 3.0.5 still supports Java 8, but even better would be the current release (4.0.2)

This is the Final Version of VarDict. No longer maintained.
