Scrobbling from PLEX does not work #48

Hello,

I have MAL Updater OSX properly setup and connected with my Plex Media Server, I see MAL Updater as a connected device and scrobbling from other sources (local media player) works as expected. When I use Plex via web or Plex Media Player, MAL Updater does not seem to do anything, no scrobbling, no errors, no activity whatsoever.

I have checked and it's working on my side with Plex Media Player. Make sure you have specified the IP or web address (just the domain) to the Plex Media Server. Also, you need to login to make this work and be playing a media file. MAL Updater OS X will not detect any media file that is paused or stopped.

Also, if it's helpful, please share what environment your Plex Media Server is hosted on. The Plex Media Server I test on is hosted on a Mac Mini running El Capitan. I also tested with a Windows 10 VM with Plex Media Server and it's working there too.

Also, make sure your server is not blocking ICMP/Ping with the firewall. ICMP is needed to determine the reachability of the server.

My Plex Media Server is hosted on Ubuntu server machine, but it seems like it was some sort of temporary issue. Yesterday I could not scrobble 2/5 shows (Rurouni Kenshin and Darker Than Black) but today they were scrobbled properly. I didnt change any metadata or anything like that so maby some issues with MAL? Well, its ok now so this can be closed I guess.
