Opensource and ownership transfer #179

Open tekjar opened 5 years ago

tekjar commented 5 years ago

Hi All. I see that there are a bunch of open issues and pull requests. I'm not working at Ather anymore and it might take some time for these to be addressed. Ather is considering transfer of ownership but it'll take time as internal opensource policies are still being framed.

Meanwhile, I've started my work on the broker and the ecosystem. Head here in case you have any queries

@TotalKrill Can you let me know your email id? Or can you sign in to the teams link?

TotalKrill commented 5 years ago

The link is no longer valid, I could send you my email in a PM somewhere otherwise :)

@tekjar How about creating a rumqtt GitHub organization, then transferring ownership to that and inviting people to that organization? crates.io also allows crate ownership to be derived from a GitHub organization's team (every member then has publish permission automatically, see e.g. https://crates.io/crates/tokio).

@jplatte Sorry for the delay. I'm not sure of the legalities w.r.t names. I've created rumq repo (which includes client, broker and command line utils) and discord server a few days back. But the repo is still private. Would love to add more people but there is a limit of 4 collaborators. Please join the discord group while I figure out how to proceed forward.

Whats the status of this repo? Is it now somewhere else? Is this still maintained?

andresv commented 4 years ago

I am also very interested in knowing if it is still maintained.
