[NPC] Naberius #2609

Description: Naberius is an elite lich npc that's needed for a quest. I saw that carbonite registered I could get the item needed for the previous quest to this one from him, so I thought I could aswell test if he dropped it to make sure it wasn't bugged. Instead I found out he's a little bugged.

Current behaviour: I searched for his abilities in this wowhead comment (Even though he says Shadow Fissure and not Lesser Shadow Fissure I think he means lesser) since wowhead removed the fissure from the spells he casts.

In this retail footage you can see the abilities he uses and in what frequency. Seeing how it is in NW currently (this isn't the first try I took at him, in other attempts I saw things I'll mention below, but I took screenshots of those, not video).

At first glance he seems to be casting either this or this (I think? there's so many spells and NPCs called Lesser Shadow Fissure or Shadow Fissure that I don't know anymore) to summon these Lesser Shadow Fissures, that are the ones that cast Consumption (It's definitely one of these 3, looking at the icon: 30498, 32251 or 35951) in a small area around them.

Now, looking at these pictures I took from my combat log:

Other abilites are fine.

Expected behaviour:

  1. I think fissures should start casting Consumption when the red particles are gone:

Upon cast: image

After 1-2 seconds: image

Might be wrong about this one, but I think they do start casting it too soon and player doesn't have time to move away to avoid first tick, no matter how quick he reacts.

  1. NPC fissures shouldn't be able to summon other NPC fissures, only Naberius should have the fissure spell.

  2. NPC fissures shouldn't have the ability to autoattack (melee white hits).

  3. NPC fissures should do a fixed 1k damage every 0.5 seconds to people on top of them, in a -hopefully- rather well depicted area by the visible purple particles. I'm thinking that maybe it's the 2nd generation fissures (summoned by another fissure and not by Naberius) that have their damage wrong.

Might have messed a little in the way I developed the matter, but I think the sum of videos and pics back up the sum of statements I make.

More or less.

Been finding more Lesser Shadow Fissures around, they all share this problem of being able to autoattack as standard -but immobile- mobs, as the ones Unstable Voidwraiths spawn sometimes, or the ones 1st boss in Shattered Halls summon.

Still an issue on the PTR, they still melee swing. The ticking does seem right though, according to the comments its every .5 seconds for 1000 damage and that seems correct on the PTR.

Rev 4021

The only issue that needs to be resolved is that the fissure is doing auto-attacks on you and should not.

Everything else working as intended.
