prod: molly not seeing all contacts- i think it is an issue w ones w/o position #566

Molly realized she couldn't see a contact "Candice Smith" who was made by Laura. I just went and looked and their permission assignments are identical, so that isn't the issue.

Then in comparing, i realized molly has about 270 fewer contacts visible. she sees 727, i see 996.

one thing to note is that the contact laura created is a lead she converted and the person does not have a position. Molly can see some blank positions, but not this one.

I filtered it down to only show ones w no positions. Molly sees 71, i see 338. We spot checked on ones w/ positions and those all seem to be present. I expect the ones she can see w blank positions are related contacts to others w/ positions. ideas? if someone has no position, they should be available to people in the "all" group.

So Molly & Laura should be able to see all contacts? We can just put them in a permission set or profile with read/write all on Contact.

Yes. I thought you had said the Advanced Standard User had that. What is causing it to be limited?

I had removed that from Advanced Standard User because I thought you wanted to limit access. I'll put it back in.

Let’s have a call . I’m happy w what you recommend.. I know you wanted to remove those . That was the impetus of the issue I filed.. so we could figure out next steps to finish out the permissions model
