You're meant to fully update your system before running Atlas, especially for feature updates, as feature updates are unsupported.

I'll still keep this open to look into the cause of the issue.

he3als commented 11 months ago

Also, 23H1 doesn't exist, and 23H2 doesn't exist for Windows 10. I'm confused on what you did.

sorry to jump on this - had posted on atlas's dscord which led me here - am just doing a fresh atlas and updating windows pre playbook - windows is offering an optional november preview (kb5032278) and wondering if atlas is meant for this or to leave it out

This is fully unrelated. Please ask again on Discord.

This wasn't listed on the prerequisites. Neither was it listed on the "Preparation" section.

In the docs? I'll look into that.

I mean "updating windows" wouldn't go under Prerequisites.

But it is in the docs, which you seem not to have read.

hello, i'm sorry to ask this here but i cant tell who's official or not on discord when i've asked previously and had many replies, hence my posts above (sorry if they were marked as off topic)

i was told to leave out the november optional feature update but as you say the docs do say to install all even though the feature update was released after atlas?

hope that made sense and also helps the OP - if you could clarify i'll post up on discord as im sure it will help a lot of others

oh whilst im typing i also found updating windows store BEFORE windows updates resulted in no store problems (verified on 3 machines) whereas previously the store got stuck / broken

thanks in advance

sam

I did read the documentation, I was up to date according to Windows.

Yup. Issue has been resolved. I just had to update everything before installing Atlas, updating after seems to cause this.
