bulk assertions
via map (e.g. select with a bounding box and "flag all") or records list (e.g. "flag all in this query")
bulk flag an issue is access controlled but anyone can submit a query for review - e.g. submit this query for a bulk annotation, it gets reviewed and approved or not
Liked by the collections community:
• Method of crowd sourcing record correction
• Provide a manageable number of corrections
• often provide a suggested correction
issues with current issue detection:
• being sent or notified that there are a large number of low quality records is not manageable e.g. “5k records are wrong”
• need to suggest the correct answer
• batches of records with same issue and that have an easy resolution are useful e.g. all these records are missing the negative on the latitude
• In fact, it would be great if the ALA would provide somewhere a succinct manual describing the formats required for data provision for ALL fields. (Margaret - coordinatePrecision in particular)
