Propagate non-indigenous common names to subspecies where no specific common name exists #137

Open Sherrin-ALA opened 1 year ago

Where there is an non-indigenous common name for a species, but no specific common names for its subspecies, the species common name should be assigned to the subspecies.

Indigenous names for species will not be assigned to subspecies. If there is a specific non-indigenous common name for the subspecies, the species common name will not be assigned.

Question to be resolved - will all non-indigenous common names be assigned to the subspecies, or only the preferred non-indigenous common name?
