The preferred common names displayed in species pages are not appearing in area searches. In area searches, the common name that appears is pulled randomly from the available common names, generally resulting in an option that people are unfamiliar with. For example, the Hardhead (Aythyra australis) is shown in the area search as the Brownhead in this area search: https://biocache.ala.org.au/explore/your-area#-35.4366|149.1099|12|ALL_SPECIES but if you go to the species page (even from the link in the area search) it correctly shows the common name as Hardhead: https://bie.ala.org.au//species/https://biodiversity.org.au/afd/taxa/615bdd63-9e8b-4f8d-9637-489c2a80c281 . There are other examples of this in the same area search including Egretta novaehollandiae, Anas (Nettion) gracilis, Acanthiza (Geobasileus) reguloides, Poliocephalus poliocephalus, Acanthiza (Subacanthiza) lineata.
