Good example of conflicts between NZOR and APC/APNI
In APC Corybas dienemus D.L.Jones is the APC approved name for an endemic species restricted to Heard/MacDonald Islands. Nematoceras dienemum (D.L.Jones) D.L.Jones, M.A.Clem. & Molloy is treated as a synonym and Corybas macranthus (Hook.f.) Rchb.f. is a misapplication. In NZOR, Corybas macranthus (Hook.f.) Rchb.f. is the accepted species and Nematoceras dienemum (D.L.Jones) D.L.Jones, M.A.Clem. & Molloy is a synonym.
In the new tactical taxonomy, all three taxa exist in the taxonomy Corybas dienemus D.L.Jones comes from APNI, Nematoceras dienemum comes from the conservation lists, and Corybas macranthus comes from NZOR. All Australian records are being attributed to C. dienemus, which is mostly true expect for some Australian NZ s[pecimens. Nematocera dienemum and C macranthus are both listed as synonyms of C dienemus, so in name matching most NZ collection records (carrying the old scientific name of N. dienemum) are being matched to C. dienemus. Useful test case once we have a workable theoretical solution to test.
