The ALA incorrectly lists Glyptophysa (Glyptophysa) gibbosa (Gould, 1846) as a current taxon. There are several issues. a) firstly G. gibbosa is a junior synonym of Glyptophysa (Glyptophysa) novaehollandica (Bowdich, 1822) and this needs to be updated. Secondly, Records associated with G. novaehollandica, Physa novaehollanica are incorrectly matching to family, instead of being referred to G. novaehollandica.

• Supplied name of Physa novaehollanica is not in AFD although Physa novaehollandica and Physa novaehollandicae are and synonymy is followed. Physa novaehollanica will not fuzzy match because the missing d changes the soundex value.
