In two ca 500000-records sets I downloaded on 3 August 2017, there are many cases of invalid values in particular Darwin Core fields. Some of these, at least, may arise through incorrect field mapping. Examples are records where
"dcterms:licence" and "dcterms:accessRights" are identical
"datasetID" appears to be "collectionID", with the latter field blank
"institutionCode" and "collectionCode" are identical
"occurrenceRemarks" and "scientificName" are identical
"eventRemarks" contains occurrence data items
"higherGeography" and other location fields contain invalid items, e.g. "waterBody" = "Africa", "county" = "Scotts Peak Road", "verbatimLatitude" = "Onthophagus imponderosus Lea, A.M. 1923", "verbatimCoordinateSystem" = "10-100m"
"identificationID" appears to be "identifiedBy", with the latter field blank, e.g. "Peter J. Lang" and "".
"identificationRemarks" seems to be a dumping ground for a range of free-text comments in the provider database, e.g. "This sure appears to be the same beast as you found Martin (http://www.bowerbird.org.au/observations/58867).
