I had this problem myself a couple of days ago - hit the Support widget link instead of a form submit.
Agreed it should be moved... it can be on the left or right edge of screen, or top/bottom. The issue with right side placement (on top or bottom) is that it's not relative to the right corner: it is set as a number of pixels from the left, so it doesn't work well for small screens/mobiles. I'll try a side placement.
Now moved to the right side.
Screenshot below illustrates the problem, where the "Support" button that sites at the bottom-left portion of the screen, can be confused with the submit button for a form (e.g. https://biocache.ala.org.au/search#tab_advanceSearch). Many forms use the same styling for the submit button and the "Support" button can cover the submit button, leading to confusing behaviour if accidently clicked instead of the intended submit button.
Suggested fix is to move to the right side of the screen.
