Finding names for LGA for alerts #255

Open turley85 opened 3 months ago

turley85 commented 3 months ago

When using the spatial layer https://spatial.ala.org.au/?layers=lga_2023, how do I find the correct name of the LGA for alerts to work?

Viewing the file suggests "Wingecarribee" should work, but "WINGECARRIBEE SHIRE COUNCIL" is required for the alert to work.

Where can I find the correct terms to use when viewing this layer?

The loading of lga_2023 is incomplete. Best place for updates to this is the "spatial-layers" slack channel. When lga_2023 is loaded, the normal process of finding the correct filter applies.

One process to get the name for the fq, after the getting the cl code, is:

  1. Open is spatial with the cl code, e.g. https://spatial.ala.org.au/?layers=cl10957
  2. Get the name of the area of interest by; searching in the legend area, inspecting the legend image or clicking on an area on the map.
  3. Test in biocache, e.g. https://biocache.ala.org.au/occurrences/search?q=cl10957:%22Argo-Rowley%20Terrace%22#tab_mapView

@turley85 - just checking whether the reply above has resolved your issue or not?

If it has, could you please close this issue, TIA.

Not complete. The LGA_2023 still doesn't appear to be loaded completely so I can't find correct names.

At this moment, we are using cl10923 ( biosecurity.csv.lga = cl10923 ) in our test system.
