Take care of NPE when attempting to write nulls to cassandra #367

@charvolant Has this been tested on our production cassandra? There was a significant reduction in the species_habitat field in the index today, but not sure where to track it down further?

@ansell Not yet. We've worked around it in production by deleting the old index and reloading conservation status and habitat data into an empty table. We have started using a new version of the IRMNG habitat data, so it is possible that the amount of information has reduced.
