2024 -2025 Mobilisation: BioTas - Biosecurity Tasmania (Biosec)

Summary

This activity will deliver at least 73,000 validated specimen-based records, consisting of at least 2,364 species, across 1,816 genera and 372 families. Approximately 72,600 of these records are in the class Insecta, with remaining records spread across Arachnida, Gastropoda and Myriapoda. The collection also contains 450 type specimens.

In addition, the activity will deliver a minimum of 1,000 new records produced from currently un-databased specimens, including from Tasmania’s World Heritage Area, subantarctic Macquarie Island, and other islands around Tasmania.

• recordedBy -  replaced 'unsigned' with null/blank

• Whole dataset - removed all values that had text 'NULL', set to blank
