GBIF: fish in Australian herbaria (should be: algae) #949

Apologies if I picked the wrong channel here!

We have a pending issue at GBIF.org, concerning records of algae specimens linked to the homonymous fish genus Tydemania, see https://github.com/gbif/portal-feedback/issues/4801

Datasets that contribute to Tydemania records include some herbaria image

The underlying issue is that the records concerned (list not exhaustive) explicitly tie the taxon name into the fish higher taxonomy, even though all other data clearly identify the records as green algae.

Is this something that needs review centrally, workflow-related, or does it require getting in touch with the dataset curators?
