This is a major update of the NVIS 4.1 data that we have so when the 5.1 is loaded, the 4.1 layers can be deprecated. Info at https://www.environment.gov.au/land/native-vegetation/national-vegetation-information-system/data-products.

This dataset forms an important part of a Native Bird Environmental Account supported by the Wentworth Group and at least the Queensland Government. NVIS 5.1 is required as a part of the protocol that can be achieved within the Spatial Portal. This project will report on changes in bird status across vegetation types and will feed bird observations into the ALA.
