We regularly get requests for one or more of the environmental and contextual layers we are using, and it would seem expedient to enable a simple export of layers that were public, probably the best format would be GeoTIF, placement of an option in the Spatial Portal (Export | Layer) and http://spatial.ala.org.au/layers?
The licencing does however need a review/update to clarify some entries. We probably also need to contact Kristen WIlliams to get the layers she has provided into a CC-by licence.
