inability to edit directive files #240

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. View Action sets
2. Highlight any directive file and click on 'Edit'
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The directive file, eg layout, should open for editing - instead nothing
happens. It was working fine last week. Other buttons, 'Run' 'Delete' respond
as expected. Items and characters can be edited as usual, and new cells scored.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

DELTA Editor 1.0 (2022)
date: 2013-08-19 20:25:57 Eastern Standard Time (New South Wales)
free memory: 11 MB
total memory: 25 MB
max memory: 247 MB
java.version: 1.7.0_25
java.vendor: Oracle Corporation
os.name: Windows 7
os.arch: x86
os.version: 6.1
user.language: en
user.region: null
user.dir: C:\Windows\system32
Please provide any additional information below.

The problem exists with several databases; the problem is independent of the
length of the directory path; the pgm has been uninstalled and reinstalled from
a newly-downloaded version but persists; and the pc has been rebooted; the
problem persists with a new database populated by importing delta files or
without any data; the problem does not exist when the same databases are opened
with CSIRO DELTA; a newly-downloaded version of open-delta works fine on a
separate notebook computer.

I am not sure what is going wrong, but the mostly likely thing that could still
be a problem after a reinstall would be the saved application settings.
Please try deleting all of the files and folders in the folder:
<Your user profile directory>\AppData\Roaming\open-delta\
and then restarting the Delta Editor.
