Can't download species list in Spatial if area created with shapefile #459

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create an area in Spatial using a polygon
  2. Download a species list for that area - this works.
  3. Create another area in Spatial by loading a shapefile
  4. Download a species list for that new area - this perpetually sits at "Loading..."
  5. Viewing the area report, and viewing and downloading a species list that way seems to be a workaround.
