Inconsistent left hand side menu behaviour #72

The left hand side menu has odd behaviour. It appears to support the ability to deselect a menu item.

To reproduced

Open any menu item on lists landing page and the menu item is identified as highlighted because it is bold.
Click on this menu item (All species lists) and it is not longer highlighted (bold).

Task

Remove the ability of users to deselect the active menu item.
