It's rather OS compatibility issue. I have no problems with hi-res textures on
any emu. I did not touch hires textures code lately.

BTW, try to use the wrapper from the previous WIP build. May be new wrapper
build causes the crashes.

I don't use the wrapper, so I can't be sure that it works correct.

After going thru' all the testing, below is my final comment on this issue:
1. Mupen64 will crash when loading rom with "Rice" format checked
- Official WIP or my compiled version
- it will not crash using NapalmWX_R1.1 or specifically its GlideHQ
2. PJ64 v1.6 will crash after closing rom using Official WIP whether "Rice"
format is checked or not.
- it will not crash using my compiled version
3. My 1964 will not crash using Official WIP or my compiled version
It could be core issue or just different in compilation settings. Anyway, if
your Glide64 plugin(Windows version) does not crash the emu then you may
proceed to close this issue as invalid.
Thanks

Still the same for the latest official WIP.

Instant crash or after a certain amount of textures load?
if its at a certain amount of textures the issue is the lack of Large Address
Aware support in PJ64/Mupen64.

It has nothing to do with Large Address Aware.
It is just something weird with Mupen64/PJ64.
Anway, my WIP works well on my 1964mod and PJ64.
So, I don't really care about Mupen64.
Gonetz,
Pls close this issue.
