Go in game and the pawns are missing. It may be a microcode issue.
It is one of the first game of the N64. I doubt it uses a customs microcode. I 
am pretty sure it uses deprecated functions of Fast3D microcode. This is why 
setting the microcode to Fast3D in Glide allows us to see already quite a lot 
of gfx displayed.
