station-based search: default area should be global/everywhere #73

station_based searches currently require first selecting an area on the map.

if no area is selected, the area should default to "everywhere" so that a user could quickly just select a particular network or network.station (etc) without having to know (or care) where it is. or, ideally, no search filter should be used at all.

@filefolder should we have a similar feature for the Events as well? (When nothing selected on map, should we get events globally?)

yes i think so-- the default should be everywhere. however for events it would be very important to also then change the default minimum magnitude parameter to something much larger, say 5.5, otherwise there is a very good chance far too many will be returned by accident.
