Microphone icon displayed in upper right corner of user profiles (unclear what function is) #736

Open MindfulQA opened 3 years ago

Describe the bug Steps to reproduce:

  1. While logged in, browse forum messages until you find one that interests you
  2. Tap on thread starter's icon on home screen
  3. Observe that a profile window pops up
  4. Observe microphone icon on upper right corner
  5. Tap on it and observe that you can disable it/enable it, but it's not clear what the functionality is

Expected behavior The microphone icon is generally associated with voice memos or speaking into microphone, so it is unclear why this icon is displayed in a user's profile. If it is to mute seeing this user's posts, a different icon might be more clear.

Able to replicate the same although you are correct, it is used to ignore a user.

@kylerc Is the microphone the standard icon for ignore in XF? This is low priority, so pushing to Icebox for now.

It is not standard.

Ideally a toast says "Muted $username, you will no longer see content from that user." or something
