rpi4 pure data inputs are scrambled #54

Within a Debian Bullseyes installation on a rpi 4b I have Pure Data running. After following the installation procedure as described in the README.md the device is listed within PD. An issue is that the in-/output numbers [adc~ n]/ [dac~ n] in PD and their related hardware positions on the Octo are scrambled each time the system reboots or evenly so when the audio rendering is turned on and off. Does somebody has a properly documented solution to get a consistent logical input numbering instead of a reference to a few lines of code ? (It also occurs that some of the inputs are numbered on 7 and 8 within, though the Octo only has 6 hardware inputs. I have read that this is a driver related issue...) Though it would be a normal thing to supply the customer of this board with a stepwise tutorial to fix the scrambling of the in-/outputs so one can use it reliably within an (open source) DAW like Pure Data.

I'm having the same issue, and it's driving me crazy. RPI 3 under Archlinux
