Audioinjetor Zero on Pi Zero #45

HI all, I'm running Retropie on my pi zero, and I would like to route the i2s signals to Audioinjector HAT. I have been browsing the forums so far but no success.

I have modified config.txt with following command; dtparam=audio=off dtoverlay=audioinjector-wm8731-audio

But Im gettng this error: VolumeControl::Init()-Failed to find mixer elements!

Much appreciate advice how to get this working.

p/s- I am also running Kodi on pi zero, and would like to get this DAC hat working with Kodi too.
