8 years ago I'll tell you which pins you can (and need to) use and which pins I used!
- The PCF8591 and MQ-2 both require 5 VDC (pin VCC) to operate, which the Pi provides at hardware pins 2 and 4.
- They both also require ground (pin GND) connections, which the Pi has at pins 6, 9, 14, 20, 25, 30, 34, and 39.
- The MQ-2 outputs an analog signal, so port A0 straight into the PCF859's AIN0 pin.
- The PCF8591 communicates with the Pi via I2c, so connect the SCL pin on the PCF8591 to the same one on the Pi's hardware pin 5. Connect the PCF8591's SDA pin to the Pi's hardware pin 3.
