Here's a good basic guide for commodity trading [http://www.commoditytrading.net]. We're going to have to be careful because commodity trading is very different from stock trading. i think it's a good starting point because commodity trading is (or should be) less prone to less tangible things (like random stock movements and quarterly earnings) than stocks. They'll be dependent on global policy, wars, global economics, etc.
I've got a few more ideas for metrics we can use that I'll document, but I'll start distinguishing between commodity and stock trading. In my research I've also been finding a lot of metrics we can use for stocks once we get to that point.
Create a list of candidate data sources to ingest into the platform to feed algorithms.
