Wild Magic Barb surge table also has entries out of order

NickVendel commented 3 years ago

Hm, yeah, something is wrong with it

KimJongTrill commented 3 years ago

Yeah I think the Wild Magic table used was from the DNDCelebration free preview they put out but apparently was re ordered when printed.

Additional Wizard Spells OCF, first line says cleric spell list

Arcane Propulsion Armor does not give movement speed bonus (artificer-infusions.xml) #87

DependableMan commented 3 years ago

The Artificer does not appear in the list of classes, even when TCoE is selected as a source. I've tried clearing and re-adding all content to no avail. Also tried re-installing the latest version of Aurora builder.

Artificer in TCoE is a reprint of the Eberron version. The ERFTLW errata released just before TCoE made that content identical. We chose to not duplicate the class at this time

That's fair, but other conent, like Booming Blade, WAS duplicated in Tasha's, so it looks like an error/inconsistency, rather than a deliberate choice.

I agree its a bit inconsistent. I believe some of the spells were actually changed when they were reprinted in TCoE, but due to the bloat that is artificer we decided to just leave it where it was.

If enough people request us to duplicate it or move it like some other have then we will reconsider.

I don't know if this is a general issue, or if I've done something wrong, but trying to enable the Ranger optional class features leads to an error popup stating image Figured that if this is an issue other people are having this seemed the best place to mention it.

All TCoE OCF and other customization features require you to use our core.index

Ah, seems my issue was not clearing out the old files properly. Only other thing to mention, should the fey wanderer ranger be able to select a fey wild gift, or is leaving that out intentional?

Feywild Gifts are included under Fey Wanderer Magic, just like in the book. Though looking at it made me notice another error

The main reason I see for doing this would be enabling the artificer class without the rest of the Eberron book. Since Tasha's is a core book and Eberron a campaign guide I think that Tasha's should get priority if the duplication is an issue.

kgirtxd commented 2 years ago

Its kind of a matter of duplicating a 1or 2 element versus duplicating the 100+ which would be required for artificer. Its doable but unless more people ask for it then time is better placed elsewhere

NickVendel commented 2 years ago

@alsimoneau also, it's not a "core book" (usually, when people say "core" they mean 3 "main" books, usually being Monster Manual, Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide), it's a "rule book" (XGTE and TCOE are placed in this category, and sometimes joined by something like Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes or Volo's Guide to Monsters), in reality there's no priority, at least i never seen WOTC claiming there's one. Sure you could argue that setting-neutral versions should take priority, but i would argue that it's not that hard to change source yourself, if you don't really want to enable Eberron sources. For now we basically wait for more people to ask for this change to basically see if there's enough interest for that change. Currently, it feels like there isn't, since many people just ask "Why i can't find TCOE Artificer?", then we say "It's the same as in Eberron, just use that one", and they return with "ah, okay, thanks", and that's usually where it ends, so seems like most people are fine with that.

I noticed a typo under Paladin Oath of the Watchers Tenants: under Loyalty it says "friends" where it should say "fiends"
