Version 3 of the Google Maps API has been released and version 2 officially 
deprecated.

All AusStage mapping service functionality should move to this new version

We rely on many things that are specific to version 2 of the API at present. 
Need to wait until some of our libraries have been updated with appropriate 
versions for version 3 of the API
