I tried whitelisting enchantable items for sharpness in an environment with only this mod in it and it doesn't seem to work. I can't really say much more about it other than it doesn't even work with vanilla items.
In the screenshot I set sharpness to only work with stone swords but it works any way with other swords like the handful of gold swords in my inventory.
