Senior DevOps Engineer
This DevOps’ Cloud Engineer is a key team member in migrating and managing workloads in AWS. A successful engineer will work with internal customers to define requirements, and work with the DevOps team to design and implement solutions. This candidate must be comfortable working within Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban), and can prioritize work based on impact and risk assessments.
Our primary focus areas for growth are in both AWS Cloud and Kubernetes workloads.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code Create CI/CD pipelines for builds, deployments and other purposes.
Troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment failures Manage Kuberenetes clusters built on both EKS and Rancher, supporting Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and general containerization efforts Support legacy applications and processes as we migrate to a newer future state
Work collaboratively and build a strong relationship with development teams to understand their build and infrastructure requirements
Ensure configuration and compliance with existing policies and procedures.
Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows based systems
Develop target CI/CD solution patterns, analyze existing application and IT deployments, propose requirements and designs, craft an automation approach, drive implementation
Prepare DevOps guidance, standards, requirements, design, and ensure that the end product is aligned to the strategy and overall enterprise architecture standards
Works with development teams on maintaining and adjusting cloud infrastructure for optimal scaling
Applies technical experience to develop a deep understanding of, and drive enhancement of, cloud tooling
Become a member of a highly-collaborative, cross-functional cloud & DevOps team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 4 years of writing and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
Minimum of 2 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Kubernetes
Understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements such as PCI Experience using configuration management tools such as Puppet
Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform, create Terraform modules for reusability
Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration, unix scripting Proficiency in cross-platform scripting languages and build tools (Python, Artifactory, Groovy, Gradle).
Strong knowledge of Jenkins, ability to write Jenkins pipelines and experience creating reusable Jenkins shared libraries
Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Strong bias for action and ownership
Position can be full time remote. Office in north Austin within a mile of the Domain.
