1 year ago It seems this was not a bug, but infact a local permission issue. Upon further investigation, it transpired the permission 'Access your data for all web sites' needed to be active.
This setting can be found within the 'permissions' tab of 'Authenticator plugin' in about:addons.
Describe the issue
For quite some time now, the Smart Filter and Autofill does not seem to work.
Now, the strange thing is, it works on two other machines I have, but on the third, despite the toggle being selected, it still doesn't work as expected.
I have tried disabling the plugin and re-enabling a few times, this has not worked successfully.
This bug probably goes as far back as the last few Firefox versions.
An interesting twist - this same bug occurred on both of the other two machines I have, and eventually sorted itself out, however, this third machine, despite it being a few months, still no luck.
Unsure if this helps, but the PC is rather powerful, harnessing a 13th Gen i9 Processor, and 32GB of RAM - so it not being 'powerful' enough won't be the issue.
I tried to find trends, but of the three machines, one is intel i7 11th gen, another is Intel i7 12th gen and they both had the issue of smart filter and autofill not working, until it resolved it, itself. Any other reports of this bug? Or what can be done to resolve it?
