How to add an account?

Describe the issue

Using Firefox 96.0

The documentation is vague on how-to add an account both using QR code and manual.

QR Code

• I assume I visit the target URL? Better example using Google might help.
• Click the [-] QR Scan buttom, but it overlays some QR Code on a transparent overlay.
• When I attempt to drag a square around the QR Code, it disappears, and fails to scan a QR Code.
• BTW using Dark Reader extension; also Google set to Dark Theme; tried turning these off and still no joy.

Manual

• I assume the Issuer is the target domain, eg. www.google.com. Do I need a full URL or just a hostname or TLD?
• Where does the Secret come from? Is this the account password or in Google's case a generate App Password?

The issuer and username fields are just for you to identify the account. To add using both methods, you need to go to the target account's security settings to set up two factor authentication. In Google's case this would be:

https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/two-step-verification -> "Authenticator app" -> "Set up" and you should get a QR code.
