Can I second this? I would like to see a bit more GM masking. It was giving away the farm on Creatures whose Identities I wanted Hidden or are GM controlled:
Begin - This one didn't load the image file on a friendly NPC (Whose Name it is OK to release, they'd know it). It may need preloaded before rendering effects. I do have a slower machine, whose graphics are all set to Low). This is Chaz - a Warg NPC ridden and controlled by Helena (PC)
Next - Goblin Gang Member Norick Steps up - no issues there, and the transition effect is awesome! I LOVE THIS module!
Next - Our beautiful Goblin Girl Helena (PC) steps Up - no issues there, and the transition effect is Chef's Kiss! I LOVE THIS module!
Next - Everybody's got a Boss, and Grouff is our NPC for the job. But wait - isn't that an enemy Cultist being Identified, even though it says "Unknown Creature" In Chat and Combat Tracker?
Next - it most certainly is ... and now our enemy is completely identified! Might as well go shake his hand now that we're acquainted ... Why is there no way to hide GM controlled characters who are considered Hostile to the Group? I think that would be the default in most games, and a lot of modules go a long way to hiding those names.
Those are just a couple of Quality of Life fixes that could use some love, but I like @Sushibear9 's ideas too.
@WThunderspirit What modules and system are you using in that screenshot?
5e - and ... I turned yours off for now ... but I really want to turn it back on again :*(***
g2g 4 now - game in 5
Thanks! I'll get to this when I can.
I second what WThunderspirit wrote. I'd really love to use this module, but currently it gives away information we use other modules to hide. Adding to his comments, there also should be an option to not show anything when you pass the turn to a hidden monster (Hidden in the turn tracker) instead of showing the silhoutte. Sometimes you want to just do something in the background on set turns and make it imperceptible for the players.
My proposal/idea in regards to the hiding names is that you get in touch with the maker of CUB (Combat Utility Belt), which is the one that has the Hide Names gadget, to see how it works and integrate it with your module, so that instead of the name of the token, the "unknown creature" tag [or whatever the DM has configured] is what appears.
I really like the effects and the style of this module and would very much like to continue using it, but i don't see any easy workaround that problem currently. Renaming every token to "unknown creature" is not only a lot of work, it also gets confusing pretty quickly.
i hope you'll be able to implement this quickly. Thank you for your work so far!
Edit: I made a mistake and commented something that wasn't true or pertaining to your module.
Hey! Just writing down here to give out some encouragement and to know if you were able to implement these changes. Again, thanks for your work!

Sorry about the radio silence, update should be out now.
It seems this new version is not compatible with v9. Can you make it so? I probably will not be updating to v10 maybe ever. I don't know how difficult it would be to patch it to make it compatible with v9, but it would be nice to be able to use it.

Same.
Just had a chance to check out what's new, and still showing same old issues. Also, yeah, Combat Utility Belt and Your Turn and Monk's Little Details all don't play nice together. Disabling Your Turn did the trick though, sadly... I really love the Final Fantasy like way of Changing Turns, but it does cause conflicts - even when disabling some of the effects of the two doing the same things - it adjusts how other things are done (like hiding the NPC names). It really needs some kind of post-install configuration settings to realize its full potential. Sad - I really love a module that I just can't use or else lose functionality in other modules :-(
I love these ideas, plus (as mentioned in a separate thread) it would be nice to be able to choose from the token icon and artwork for the picture that shows.
That being said, this is a pretty great module, thank you!
Would add to this regarding the PF2e "mystification/de-mystification", the enemy might not be hidden but unknown, so token could be shown but a mystification name is used instead of true name. (or option to toggle this)
I'm a new user to Foundry and just found this module and love it! I see it's a pretty new package so I'm not sure if you were already planning on it but I would love to see user defined settings, something like banner duration, size, and color override. Is this something that others think would be useful?
