This is a long-standing issue that we need to create the proper UI to allow you to set some IFC parameter so that we don't have to guess, sometimes incorrectly.
Thanks for your very fast reply @AngelVelezSosa First - are my findings regarding the Y-axe incorrect - or was this just a general note :-) Second - Do I read - make the doors so it works for me in Revit and in a near future, the IFC export setup can be manage better, so correct Door Type Operation can be made.
First - I am not 100% certain but it seems like an issue that's been around for a while in trying to figure out the orientation of a door based on its sketch for export. Short term - you'll have to create your doors in the orientation that works for IFC. Longer term we are improving the IFC experience in Revit and I'd include letting you help us get this right in the UI as part of that.
Ifc Door Type Operation is defined here: https://standards.buildingsmart.org/IFC/RELEASE/IFC4/ADD2_TC1/HTML/link/ifcdoortypeoperationenum.htm
My finding in Revit is that Y-axe is pointing to Exterior
Having both Inward and Outward doors which is have the same relation to Exterior and Interior will mean that and Outward doors would be like the picture above - and are Inward door will be like:
But then my issue is that Y-axe is then wrong compared to IFC definition.
So my question is - is there are way to define the Y-axe in Revit for door family. I have tried to change the Right / Left reference plane naming, but this make no different.
I can of cause just make a door which are Inwarded and correct relation the Y-axe but the I have issue regarding the relation to exterior / interior which gives me some issues regarding want I want in Revit with nested families (Reveals).
