Parameter Name Limitations #558

The following post on Autodesk knowledge Network https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit/troubleshooting/caas/simplecontent/content/parameter-name-limitations.html States a number of characters not to be used in parameter naming for example ( ) [ ].

The characters are use extensively in "IFC Shared Parameters-RevitIFCBuiltIn-Type_ALL.txt" can you please confirm the approach, as we are try map the data via the API to an external application and they are saying that this is causing a error.

@WawanSolihin can you check this? We have heard other reports but our initial testing suggested otherwise. So we need to either test more or get that article updated.

Some characters like [] are not allowed in the UI, but it is accepted by Revit if the parameter name is defined with those character included. I don't have the list of what characters allowed, but not in the UI currently.
