Error if Export base quantities is checked #613

Hi,

When we try to export a model with the Export base quantities option checked (in Property Sets tab) we get the error: model is too big, suggesting to use filters or the export current view only. I tried with a basic model with only one cube in to verify but that model is also not exporting.

However not every one working with this model is reporting this issue.

I'm using Revit 2022 - Exporter v. 22.6.2.0

That message needs to be updated, "too big" is usually not the issue any more. But if you can provide the one cube, we can see if it fails for us. But it does seem like maybe you have an addin that others don't, or some other difference in your environment?

I am also confused though. I just tried the model and it exported just fine. However for two colleaguages (so far) it does not work. Our systems are completely the same (Revit version, addins, etc are managed on these systems). The only difference is that their systems are set to engels/spanish and mine is set to dutch. We all run Revit in english though and are opening from BIM360.

The funny thing is that the export worked until earlier. Could it be a cache problem?

So can you either set yours to eng/span or theirs to dutch? It could maybe be the export mapping table but that generally results in empty exports, not errors.

Does not make a difference. I now have two of the same systems side by side and on one I have the error but on the other I dont. I am unable to reproduce unfortunately.

When I use our own exporter I get a different error than when we use the exporter interface (in Revit). Using our own exporter the error is: revit encountered a system.io.ioexception. Device is not ready.

After uninstallig the exporter and using the native exporter from Revit we dont have issues exporting to ifc.

So it seems like it is some sort of conflict between the addins after all.
